Hi, what you're describing is exactly what I tried. It's failing because HCD will not allow to define a coupling link from the native CF on the CEC to the z/VM LPAR. So the sysplex will not find the path form the old sysplex under z/VM to the CF on the CEC. Activating the policy with the new CF'S is not a problem as such. But the new changes are pending because the link is not found, hence the information about the new CF's is not writen to the coupling data sets.
That is exactly the reason for my question here. Has anybody done this before, knowing more about z/VM and if that is actually possible.
