We are trying to access our sandbox LPAR from our desktop 3270 client. I have fetched the IP address, Port Address and LU name from the HMC. When I try to connect first it says connected and later it gets disconnected. I am able to ping the IP address but when I do a telnet test from from DOS first it shows a blank screen and later cones back to previous screen. Any idea where should I be looking ? Is it something the firewall team have to lookin ? Is there an option within HMC that restricts connection from a new destination within the organization? Any suggestions?
