Exactly what I was going to suggest. However, the volume will not complete the 
drain until empty.
This *may* take weeks, depending on your installations choices. YMMV.

This may require a major subsystem be bounced so the output can be purged.
I have seen cases where a JES restart was required to free the spool space.
Draining/restarting initiators is also helpful.
Spool Offload can also be a big help here.

Use the output of the $DSPL command to process as much as you can prior to 
restarts You may get luck.
IIRC, as of JES 2.1 there is a variation of the Drain command that causes the 
spool data to be migrated to the remaining volumes.
