Completely correct. The OSPF area #s are the only part that matters.

The PID/area # connection is just how Cisco chose to implement their OSPF 
daemon. Has no bearing on any other implementation -- the 
Juniper/Wellfleet/Proteon/IBM/Nortel/DEC/Linux implementations have no such 
connection between area # and OSPF process ids.
