The real question is "do they have a contractual right to run the programs after the license is terminated?"
I don't know the answer, but that is the real question. If the answer is yes, then if the programs do not continue to work, they have a legal beef with CA. If the answer is no, then even if they continue to work, they are risking embarrassment and damages if they continue to run the programs. That's a question they ought to be able to answer by looking at their agreement with CA.
