The WAIT service sets the task non-dispatchable. How would the task being woken up using a quick post? MVS is not monitoring the ECB. It is the POST service which understands that a task has to be woken up. A quick post works only if the ECB has not already been used in a WAIT service, i.e. the task has *not yet* been set non-dispatchable by a WAIT on that specific ECB.
