Vince, I do appreciate the help even though there is about an 8 hour time difference as I am on the West Coast.
Yes, we do have 2 connections from our z/OS LPAR (10.100.5.71)...First connection is to 10.100.5.72 which is another z/OS LPAR where we do our backups and that connection is working as it always has. The second connection is to our z/VM LPAR (10.100.5.73) and that is not working. When I start the link from RSCS using SMSG RSCS START LINKNAME I get successful messages. I even see successful messages on the z/OS console and it even looks like it starts to send something but just freezes at that point. QUERY LINK requires a virtual device and I'm not sure what that device number is. Here is an odd one...when I do QUERY NODE * I get invalid option - NODE. The weekend is not shaping up very well.
