In fact, IBM did this to us long ago. They changed the distributed (I)SPF panels from VB to FB. But they knew there was no alternative vendor. I thought it was a step backwards; experts told me it was to accommodate IEBUPDTE (another step backwards.) I suppose they might declare customer-customization of members an "unsupported" practice.
