I see this field in the BPXYPTAT macro:
PTATSCHEDPARAM DS F Pthread GetSchedParam/SetSchedParam value
But - I can find no BPX function that retrieves or sets that value
(seems like
z/OS would have to be informed if it changed.) And, I can't seem to
find any
documentation on that field. It's interesting that it's in the
system-managed
part of the BPXYPTAT pthread attributes.
Is this a way to alter the scheduling characteristics of a BPX pthread?
Or, is this
just reserved for future use? Because z/OS doesn't seem to have a way to
alter individual thread scheduling priorities.
Any ideas?
