Gadi,

The message is issued by Open-Close-End of Volume (OCE) component. You probably 
have ALLOCxx member with (CATLG_ERR, FAILJOB(YES) ) and hence the job failed. 
As mike pointed out the dataset still exists and you can reference it with 
VOLSER.

Why would you create a dataset with the same name?
