The client has applications running in both Websphere and Weblogic environments - approx. 50 servers running Websphere and 100 running Weblogic. In a nutshell, this resource will be responsible for getting, installing, and configuring the new versions of WS and WL and then migrating/porting/deploying most of the applications to the new versions (some will remain on legacy versions) in multiple environments (e.g. test, production). They will test compatibility of the apps on the new app server versions...backwards compatibility. They should know the layout of both Websphere and Weblogic (e.g. where the start/stop scripts are, where the log files are, etc.) Though it's not a developer position, they will need to know underlying core technology - Java, HTML, etc. (basically, should have 3+ years of Java Web app development experience).
