2nd level VM and expanded storage

Hello. Is it possible for a VM running 2nd level to use expanded storage?
For example:  I have VM 5.2 as 1st level.  I want to run VM 4.3 at 2nd level.  VM 4.3 is running DB2 which uses
expanded storage.  If so, is there something special I have to tell VM 5.2 and/or VM4.3  so that 4.3 can
access expanded storage?
