Thank you for the explanation. 

We do in fact also have a direct NJE connection between 
MVS and VSE, and I was given appropriate MVS jcl to get 
output to be delivered to VSE, but I was looking for a 
'catchall' solution. I didn't realize the intrinsic differences 
between the types of links.
