Another thought: use h3270 without any graphical overlays (just a straight green session), and then use the users' browser to present the 3270 session. Most of the browsers *are* window-manager aware, and deal with this issue better. It would also avoid installing x3270 on the individual workstations and having to maintain keymaps in multiple places, etc. Price is the same as x3270 (open source), and would be fix it once, deploy via browser.
