I personally would like to see Endicott pick up the latest
RTL version and incorporate it in the base z/VM product...of
course, I understand that they other things to do with their
time.

At most client sites that require the more advanced RTL to
be available, I suggest that they employ the " Running the
VM/ESA and Runtime Versions of CMS Pipelines in Parallel"
method of installation that's described in the installation
section. That way. they can pick and choose whichever
version of PIPES they want to access on a per need basis.
Plus all IBM supplied VM service streams will continue to
work correctly.
