VCTC vs VSWITCH

I have several VSE under z/VM and PNET files around the VSE's.
I was just wondering what others think is the best way to do this. Virtual
CTC's or TCP/IP using a VSWITCH.
Any opinions? 

Would my  TCP/IP PNETTING ever hit a 'real' wire?
