What do you mean by 'active system' here? If you mean you want to query
information about the current configuration of your virtual machine, try
using the DMSERP CSL call from Rexx. You can read more about it in the
following manual: z/VM: CMS Application Development Guide .
If you want to see the current configuration of the entire VM LPAR,
there are ways of getting that information, but you must be running a
virtual machine with the necessary CP privileges to do that.
