You want one place but then you create a second place? That does not
compute.
Everybody seems so worried about attachments. Most of use are computer
literate and can easily put the files of interest on a web site and post
the link in a message to the list. Or offer them via request. But,
creating a new list just because you don't like the current restrictions
is not going to be of much help.
Personally, I had rather see us move off the list processing and move to
a forum type thing, but that takes more resources.

The only reason is that you can post files in that forum and it is a
focused place for them. Not to detract from this listserv - it was just
a thought to keep everything in one place for issues/questions/mutual
support and for files.
