Well, there isn't anything such as ISHELL in Linux. I had an article titled " Basic Bash Scripting for Mainframe Systems Programmers" published by z/Journal in their previous issue: http://www.zjournal.com/index.cfm?section=article&aid=964 You might find it useful in getting started. Mark Post
