I think I have seen something like this too in Dirmaint 5.3, I suppose
Dirmaint (better DATAMOVE) will finally help you when it can't
complete a DMDISK/CMDISK due to existing links.
To me this looks like a not unitialized REXX variable.  Maybe the code
contains a PIPE like
   PIPE CP Q LINKS | ....... | VAR LinkHolders'
and doesn't test: if Symbol('LinkHolders')<>'VAR' ....

To be short: open a PMR
