Hi, Florian.

At one time IBM did offer a Java VM running on CMS, but that has long since been dropped from the product. I seem to recall that the last version IBM offered was at the Java 1.4 level or thereabouts, so by now it would be completely outdated. A search of the IBM VM web site might turn up a link to where one could still download it; you could give that a try.

The "approved" way now of using Java functionality on z/VM is to install a Linux guest and use the up to date Java available in that environment.

Have a good one.

Dear all, Does a JAVA VM for z/VM (CMS) exists? Only asking for curiosity to play around. Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
