cover?

Each speaker at SHARE spends their own volunteer time preparing the
presentations made at SHARE (except for the vendors, who often do it as
part of their job). Most of the speakers work for member companies, many
(usually larger, or vendor) companies have their own standard presentation
templates that are required for all presentations by their employees.
Notice that many, if not all, of IBM speaker presentations have the same
IBM powerpoint template.

SHARE provides all speakers with a different SHARE powerpoint template for
each conference. What you saw on Mark Post's presentation was the SHARE
powerpoint template for Denver. SHARE in Seattle may not have people
pictured.

I don't speak for the SHARE board, but you do bring up an interesting idea
of having a separate SHARE powerpoint template for each Program or
Project, with that template containing rogues gallery of that area's
SHARE ribbon-wearers. The effort to make that happen would probably not
be worth the effort, reduces the "single face" for all of SHARE, and some
may not want their image emblazoned on a presentation for which they had
no input (or possibly for a competing company!) . Still, there were 5
faces on that template, none of whom I recall ever seeing at SHARE. One
of them even looks a little like a model for a medicinal supplement - but
that's just my humble opinion. :-)
