Well 500 cylinders was not enough (well to process the DUMPLOAD it was,
but not the COPYFILE w/ PACK to send it to IBM).

Frank,

You have to make sure that OPERATNS 191 mdisk is large enough to hold
the
dump, at least 500 cyl or so.

While you are make the MDISK larger open a problem with IBM and they
will
send you instructions how hey want the CPDUMP processed and sent to them

the command to process the CPDUMP is "DUMPLOAD" the CMS help facility is

quite useful (help cputil menu).

It looks like your RDR is set up properly to issue DUMPLOAD and follow
the
instructions presented.

good luck

Okay, I have a CPDUMP, now what

It's been quite some time since I've processed a CPDUMP, that I'm at a
loss as where to start. (Last experience was with VM/ESA 2.3.)

I have the following OPERATNS RDR files:

ORIGINID FILE CLASS RECORDS CPY HOLD DATE TIME NAME TYPE
DIST
SYSTEM 0002 D SYS 00078381 001 NONE 12/30 12:00:46 CPDUMP CPDUMP
IOV100
SYSTEM 0009 D SYS 00000222 001 NONE 12/30 12:00:46 IOV100 HCPDUMP

SYSTEM 0008 D SYS 00000221 001 NONE 12/30 12:00:23 IOV100 HCPDUMP

SYSTEM 0007 D SYS 00000196 001 NONE 12/01 06:45:21 IOV100 HCPDUMP

So, where do I start?
