Those codes are the result of a Read Device Characteristics operation and
can be found in the relevant device (controller or disk subsystem)
description book.

The IBM 3990/9390 Storage Control Reference and the IBM ESS 2105 S/390
Command Reference say that an E9 is a 3990 Model 6 or a 9390 operating in
enhanced operation mode. I'm guessing that the MP3K books may say what an
E2 is.  You'll have to contact your OEM vendor to find out what CC means;
probably "OEM 3390-like".  :-)

The 2105 book says that 0A is a 3390 model 3 and 0C is a 3390 model 9.
