By whom? FCP is pretty much FCP these days; it may not be approved by the 
manufacturer, but it certainly works (and with much less sophisticated 
hardware). The only issue I can think of is whether your switches support NPIV, 
which is pretty much required to effectively use FCP storage in z/VM. 

Can your SAN folks tell you what errors they're seeing? In most cases, it's 
getting the WWPN and NPV settings right, and you should be good to go.

Our Windows folks have a large EMC Celerra NS-960. We have a z10BC. We ha

genned our IOCP to have 2 FCP channels. Now we are trying to connect via

switch to the EMC box. We are now being told that this connection is not

possible.
Has anyone done anything like this?
