As someone who has attended a Velocity Performance Days seminar, I'd strongly recommend that anyone doing Linux on System z try to attend. Even if you're using Some Other Product, you'll learn a lot, and (not incidentally) find out why Velocity's products are the ones you WISH you were using. Full disclosure: I've worked at Velocity, so I've seen the products from the inside out. Actually, if you've seen the bowels of most commercial software, you'll know that having done so and STILL vouching for a product is another vote of confidence! ...phsiii
