OK, so that was my mistake. Thanks. CP SEND CP... does indeed give me the close I was looking for.
Since I am on zVM 5.4 I could also use the FOR command. But I don't need the response itself, even better when I get no response back so I'll stick with CP SEND CP. Thank you Kris, Frank.
