I have both nylon and aluminum and like both. Somewhere I read that it's possible that the aluminum ones can crush in a fall, trapping your foot - but then if a horse falls on my stirrup hard enough to crush the stirrup, maybe I'll have bigger problems to worry about... I HAVE had a branch get caught in the "Hannibal Lector" EZ-ride cages, so if I buy any more, I will get tapaderos, not cages. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
