Can you imagine even wanting to be around horses if you couldn't be "nice" to them? My TWH had all sorts of issues when I bought him. The first time I put a blanket on him, he knocked me flat and he would not stand still for saddling. All I did was slip the saddle quietly into place and immediately treat. It took about two times. He does not mug me for treats when I saddle and I can put his blanket on him standing untied in the pasture. For me, it's just easier to be nice. Nancy
