Go somewhere safe like an enclosure or fenced area and practice achieving softness and remind your horse what leg cues actually mean. To help you achieve subtle rein cues, hold the bit in your hands and have someone stand behind you (so you can't see them)....give you rein cues. It's amazing what you can feel. The tiniest tweek of the rein is quite obvious. Just imagine what a horse can feel when he has your whole body to talk to... Good luck... Wanda
