In the case of cryptorchisim, I don't know how we'd check, what we'd ask? We don't know if it's passed by the mares mainly, or mainly by the stallions - it's not even 100% sure it's inheritable, but it appears to be. If no one talks about it, or acts like it's normal, does anyone bother to keep notes on the mares' offspring?
