oh man, wouldnt THAT be a train wreck! We have these GIANT spiders on the trail here. We call them banana spiders. They are like five or six inches in diameter if you want to count legs and all. I just happen to not be afraid of them. Not phobic at least. I dont want them running up my neck or anything but they dont bite. But I have had them run up my horse's neck toward me and just swiped it off with my hand. If it had been a roach I would have started screeching and doing the watusi and flailing around like some kinda throes of something and my horse might misconstrue that in some way and perhaps bolt.
