Why would they have started jumping in the WINTER, in a country where it's
icy outside?    The hunter-jumper sports originated in countries where
people literally hunted (foxes or other animals), and had to jump over
fences to get around the countryside.  I thought fences were new to
Iceland...?  I don't follow you.
