I don't think I agree. What do you mean by "basic dressage work"? You shouldn't be worrying about a horse's headset until he's pretty far along in dressage, so why do you really care that he can flex at the poll? Most horses, whatever their conformation , are quite capable of the "basics" and can flex "enough." Even my old downhill built, on the forehand QH managed to do pretty well at the lower levels. If my goal were do more advanced dressage, I wouldn't be working with a gaited horse, but would buy a horse built for the task. Karen Thomas, NC No virus found in this outgoing message.
