The first pair I bought I purchased one size larger and it fit perfectly, so now I always buy a size larger. And sizing seems to be a problem for my 11 yr old daughter also--I've bought and returned so many pairs of riding pants that were either too tight, too loose, too short, too, too, too something and have found (her favorite pair) that fit her best are the Equessentials (sp?) Grip bums which stretch all over. I found them on eBay for $8 and didn't realize what a deal that was until I looked for more pairs.
