The sand in my paddocks is so hot I can't walk in it barefooted. Which begs the question, is it burning the horse's feet??! They have shade to go in, but sometimes some are mean and wont let others under the shelter. Curly for instance, he wont let GB under sometimes. This is bothering me, to think of them standing in unbearably hot sand.... i have not noticed them hopping around tho... Janice
