I know I've heard from vets that there are a lot of lameness problems in the show Saddlebreds - I saw one at the vet school when I went up with my friend's horse last fall. This is the first time I've really put a lot of thought in how the mechanical contrivances might make a three-gaited horse lame. Karen Thomas, NC
