Hi Skye

>>>Well lets see I did write in my post why people dock tails for the
Dobes and the JRTs, its not fashion....also, the way we do it there
is no pain, not painful like a nueter from the vet or a geld for a
horse....which by the way is not a Natural state either......

To me this is kind of apples and oranges - the primary reason to neuter is
so you don't have unwanted puppies and most stallions don't have a
reasonable life, living with other horses, until they are gelded. And I
agree that it is a procedure that leaves scarring on the meridians and lots
of people who do TCM believe it is responsible for lots of problems.

I think it is like so many thing - a human decided what was either
attractive or useful. How many JRT owners use their dogs in a way that they
need to grab them by the tail? How come other guard dog breeds manage fine
with their ears and tail? Some hunting dogs must have their tails docked
and others have a tail - to me it is about your belief system and your point
of view and it is probably something we need to just agree to disagree
about.

Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
