In the winter I carry a cell phont in my pocket. In the summer when I don't have pockets, it goes on the saddle.<<<<< If you put the cell phone on the saddle you might not have it if you and the horse part company... I always keep the cell phone on me. I have a holder that velcros on to my leg at the ankle. It's not the easiest to get to when it rings, but it doesn't get in the way there. Pat G., in MN
