"North Carolina will be featured in the next episode of *Equi-trekking*, a PBS series that takes viewers on horseback-riding expeditions around the world.
The new episode, "Destination Carolinas," will air at 10 p.m. Thursday on UNC-TV. Host Darley Newman travels to Cherokee to ride along mountain paths, visit the Oconaluftee Indian Village, fish for trout and attend a performance of *Unto These Hills*. She also discusses the history of horses in Cherokee culture. Other segments in the episode explore Chimney Rock Park, the historic horse barn at the Biltmore Estate and Daufuskie Island, S.C." Judy
