We stayed at some condos on the Kona coast - but that was 20 years ago, and I can't remember the name now. The view from your hotel was just as I remembered it - beautiful! I also remember seeing the steam from the volcano, just like in your picture. Did you smell the sulfur? That was eerie but totally fascinating. Was this your first trip there? I've only been once. We made it most of the way around the island by car. It's a beautiful island, very diverse. There was one spot on the north coast where we went from desert to rainforest in just a matter of minutes.
