We love Rotts. We have rescued quite a few from the pound and retrained them and rehomed them. We had a wonderful one in Seattle, but if it got over 60 degrees she just panted constantly, got hot very easily, so we placed her before our move. We have tried in hawaii to get a good Rott, but they are a very popular dog to breed here and have not found one with the looks and temperment we could have.... We got a Rott/Chow cross a few months ago, which I have to say is an awesome cross...he looks very handsome...the dam was a rott and the sire a chow.....Sally named him Schoepenhauer (I am sure that is mispelled) after the author, one of his quotes is the list signature.....great dog, we would get another one in a heartbeat!
