my jaspar is such a great horse, and his eyes are very warm when gazing at me, but honestly when he sees me coming with the lead rope I can see he is thinking oh no, and I was so content. But stonewall, Tivar, and Nasi, they are like pick me! pick me!!" and a fight will actually break out over who gets picked. Buit i think they feel like me picking them means a break from boredom. I think horses get bored in a field all the time. Unless maybe they have a BIG field which I dont. i know they seem like family with each other, and I am a friend they respect and enjoy, feel warmth for. My gallant boy seemed to always view me with a sort of shut down dread. But he didnt like other horses either. he was a total loner. My fox is so in love with our donkey he seems almost lovesick and its comical actually. If he ever felt that way about a human, oh my, what a horse he would be for a partner.
Some horses are all alone tho, and to those I guess their human interactions are more valuable. janice -- yipie tie yie yo
