Janice, The one that's most like a regular side-pull is the Enduro. That's the one Lil had on in the pic. The 1/2 bosal is like a gentle rope bosal and the reins tie under the chin. The Parelli style one is exactly like the Parelli halter/bridle with a mecate style rope attached. Lil prefers to be directed from the side, but Tyra does fine with the reins coming from underneath.
