i like mine loose too and really not functional but just pretty, but thats on my walkers. On my icelandic it has to be functional to keep his saddle in place and I found I had been doing it so loose as to be non functional. It is pretty snug but doesnt seem to rub now... Janice -- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
