Here is a video of the three colts this morning.  The colt with the locking 
patella is the red bay yearling.   The others in the paddock are his black 
(dark bay) 1/2 brother and the chestnut/flaxen two-year-old, Vinnie. 
(Vinnie is full of mischief and is just adorable - he's about 12H.)

All three of these colts are gelded and available for adoption.  They are 
DNA shown to be 100% pure Colonial Spanish Mustangs, part of the 
400-plus-year-old herd of NC Outer Bank feral horses... and the herd is in 
danger of dying out because of the encroaching development in this prime 
resort area.

The NC Outer Bank Horses are now simply called the "Bankers".   They meet 
the criteria showing that they are indeed a unique breed, due to their years 
of isolation on the islands.
