They can make you crazy with the in and out. I frequently wish for a doggie door. They do make them for sliding glass doors that you can put in and take out as you want to use it. Unfortunately the only sliding glass doors we have is off the bedroom to the terrace so can't use it. Don't want a permanent one in the wall. I meant to tell you that Arnie was same weight that you had for Sophie at her age and he is now 9 lbs at 1 year 2 mos. A perfect size as far as I'm concerned.
