I don't know about buttercups, but the girl who helps us with our kids just moved with her family to a wonderful home her dad build on some acreage. She had the pasture land plowed up and re-planted to make a nice pasture for her horses and something about breaking ground allowed the production of an abundant crop of a poisonous plant. She and her younger brother dug them all out by hand.
