nancy, DID U SEE THAT report on the news a couple of months ago... a
couple with an adolescent age girl so profoundly autistic she was
completely unresponsive and they had no idea she could read or write or
understand a keyboard but they sat her at a laptop to play around and
she immediately typed help. pain. mouth. and she had an abscessed
tooth. that just shows what we don't know about mental gifts and
impairments. also in nat geographic recently an article where a
study showed a border collie had a comprehension language of 125
english words.
