Okay, I get that. I guess I was confused by the check_command
"ping4". Obviously, somewhere in the Icinga configuration ping4 is
identified with the good old 'ping' command.

Turns out I didn't have sendmail installed, although I had postfix
installed. I'm not sure if I need to do anything more than make sure
they are running to get notifications, but it's not a major issue. I
should have checked that before whining about it.

I will do that. I really like the changes made in I2. I just have to
get more comfortable with it before feel like I can contribute.
